The Heartbeat of the Mother

The Indigenous Elders teach that the drum is the heart beat of the Creator Mother. It is the first instrument. It moves us from joy, to war, to tears, to healing. For those of us who have cracks and rips in our wounded hearts, the building of a drum is a metaphor for rebullding our broken heart. The drum as a healers  tool is ancient and Sacred in  every earth tradition.

Come create, chant and dance your prayers in the ways of our ancestors. Wake up your sleeping Spirit. Come dream your drum into being. At Elderberry Sanctuary, you will create a drum of wood and deer hide and a beater to accompany it.
